A much needed sunny weekend!

My walk around the neighborhood included a stop at CCA's garden which featured the neatest rows of veggies. This is for you Mikey :)

There are friends in our cabinets that share shelf space with the bowls and dry goods. This is Kevin:

And this is Gregoire. He lives by the sugar and flour in the right-most cabinet, bottom shelf. Sometimes he moonlights as his alter ego Koko.

Recent splurge at the Blick art supply store. Feeling no regrets.

I've been going through my old sketchbooks for the past couple of weeks - transferring old notes and revisiting sketches in hopes of consolidating the "stuff" and making sense of the gibberish. It's been an oddly enjoyable experience, but I might be kidding myself.

A weekend in Sonoma to visit my parents and cook a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey and stuffing. And cranberry. Canned cranberry. Yum.

I LOVE this - an ad in M's travel magazine featuring an array of school lunches by country. Who doesn't love heart shaped waffles?

A terrific postcard from Laura as thanks for a little gift I sent her not too long ago. Thanks Loda! Take a look at Laura's blog The Email Project here. I like this one the best so far.

Last night's dinner: roasted asparagus + mixed greens w/ yukon potato, avocado, radish and sunflower seeds. Alice's very helpful hint to gently peel the asparagus stalks to the light green layer before roasting makes me feel like I've been doing it wrong all along! Tastes so much better Alice's way.
