i've been looking for a hat like this.
any recommendations on where to find this amazing straw hat?

  1. it looks so nice :) oysho have a lot of straw hats, but i don't know if you get them in the states. the thing is that the one in the picture looks kind of 'strong' let's say, so if you want to put it in your beach bag or something, it could easily break. think about that before deciding on a hat. softer ones might be a more practical solution. have a great weekend! xx*

    1. thanks so much for the advice nileta! you may be right - a softer option might be better. fyi, i did a little research and it turns out this hat is called a "bantu hat" - it's a straw hat customarily made/worn in Ghana. no idea if it's soft, but i think i'll start looking around.

    2. I have one here in Australia and it's a bit of a rigid hat but comes with a thin leather woven chin strip so you hang it off things to easily carry.
